❝ Star was born as the youngest of the Jackson siblings. Because she was the last one, she never really knew their mother. Growing up, she always felt like she was trailing behind, just out of touch. She would hear plenty of gossip about the things her siblings were up to, but was never there to see it. Star was always too young to be in the know. Even when she was still in middle school, her siblings’ shenanigans were the talk of her classmates, and as Star got older, all she really wanted was to be more like them.And then her dad fell into a coma. She was still so young, and the responsibility fell onto the eldest of the Jacksons to raise her. Helena, Cloud and some of the elder ones tried their best, but with 9 of them it was easy to fall through the cracks.
This led to Star making bad decisions, like her very first (and until recently only) boyfriend. She was 15, reeling off the reputation she had to live up to when she met Connor. He was older— nearly done with high school- when they started hanging out.Eventually, that turned to more, and Star was sure she was in love. At first, he was perfect, and then he went off to college, they barely talked and when he came to see her they didn’t have much to talk about anyway. She found out he had been cheating on her in college not long after, and that was the end of her first love.Her siblings all moved on with their lives and all Star had was her best friend, who she spent a great deal of her childhood talking to through a phone. Maybe this was why they were so clingy now. Not used to the quiet and loneliness, Star turned to the internet, with the years passing by she grew a following and was even making money from her platforms.After she turned 18, Star decided to not go to University. She had decided she wanted to live a different life, one away from her family. Instead flew around the world, exploring and documenting just about every second. And yet, in the end she still came back to New York.

❝ Ever since he was little, Vanya loved music and his parents fostered that love, encouraging him to play instruments and listen to their favourite classics. When he was just in elementary school, he was making plans of fame and forcing his friends into bands together.As he got older the ideas turned more serious, he’d found a few new friends and they’d formed a real band. Vanya played his guitar and drums during all his spare time, while his friends were less serious and liked the flair of saying they were in a band more than the actual music.As school went on, his grades slipped for songwriting. He had worried his parents would get mad, be unsupportive, but they understood how deep his passion went. They let him skip out on college, funded his move to New York. His old high school band was forgotten, they had turned to assholes and bullies, didn’t have that drive, just wanted easy fame and do none of the work. It was a joke to them. It was a late realization, he had let them get away with far too much, often thinking back to the way they’d teased and bullied a girl he was once friends with. He promised he would be a better person now, worthy of success and a future.For the first while living in New York, he didn’t know how to start. It was a long journey of trying to find new bandmates, the people that he would spend his everything with, people that shared his passion. It was by luck that on a random night at a karaoke bar that he had found some talented people. They hit it off, spent the night drinking, chatting, arguing over music. At some point, they had gotten some ecstasy and they came out of the night with a band named after the drug, and Vanya with a best friend.

❝ When Drew was very little, she happened upon a channel on the tv playing the 2004 version of Phantom of the Opera. It was the best thing she had ever seen. Now she was too young to really understand the plot (most evident in the fact that she came away in love with the phantom) but it did what it needed to.It all fully solidified for her when she was in middle school, her brother had somehow convinced her to audition, and she got the lead role in Hairspray. Being on stage felt like... what she was born to do. The opening night solidified for her that this was what she was meant to do.She spent all of high school watching Broadway bootlegs and using her living room as if it were a stage. She'd annoyed just about everyone in her life with it.But Drew was serious about it. As she grew up, she went through her first relationship, first break-up, a part-time job and applying to every scholarship in New York. She lost all her weight, got into one of the top drama programs in the state and was starting to think that she really had a shot at making it.In her free time Drew had even found a small theatre she worked in. First, it was in the crew, and eventually she moved up to being one of the stars on stage. She had yet to get the lead, but she had been an understudy for the lead, usually one of the supporting roles. Just one more audition and she would get it, Drew could feel it.

❝ The younger born to happy parents and the coolest sister he could ask for. His childhood was exactly what you would expect from the perfect Hallmark movie. This became the foundation for the way he saw the world through rose-tinted glasses.As he grew older, it felt more and more silly to cling so much to his older sister, and so he started to look for an identity of his own. When he was 10 it was basketball, guitar when he turned 11, painting at 12, but none of it stuck around for very long. His parents supported every hobby, but most of it was left abandoned in the back of his closet. When he was 13 he and his friends had decided to screw around and he found himself on the school’s stage auditioning for a play. What had started out as a joke ended up getting Dean the main lead role, and more surprisingly, was how much he loved it.Memorizing lines was natural to him, he’d had it all down perfectly by dress rehearsal. And when the stage lights shone on him, Dean felt at his most confident. All nights of the performances went perfectly and he got to see proud looks on his parents’ faces in the crowd.
It was all Dean could dream of. He’d performed in the winter play that year as well and over the summer had started looking into real acting. They were in New York after all, the heart of theatre.After begging and promising this wasn’t like the guitar and the canvases his parents had agreed. He had begun going to auditions. For the first couple years it was mostly small roles in theatre or extras on tv and movie sets. But as he grew out into teenage-hood, he finally got his chance to shine.A family drama was filming a pilot and he was cast as one of the kids. The show was then picked up and he had a recurring role! On tv!!! He’d felt like a celebrity. The show lasted 4 seasons, during which he balanced it with school and other small roles in tv and movies. As his success grew more real and the idea of becoming an actual actor seemed less of a dream, he grew to care less and less about school. His grades slipped from great to average. Dean had expected his parents to bring it up, get mad at him- he’d seen the way they pushed Cleo growing up, but they never did.And so he finished high school and went all in on his growing career. Not long after he lucked out with a role as the main love interest in a teen movie, he knew how to be charming and the book it was based on had quite a fanbase. Just like that, he went from small credits to sometimes being recognized in the streets. It was fame, his dream.
